Afterpants: Afterlives (Ascension)

Today's story trope about the afterlife is: "Ascension to a higher plane"

This is the idea that a person (but not ALL people) become something else after they die. Perhaps they have lived an extraordinary life, perhaps they are "the chosen one" or whatever. In this case, the person transforms into an angelic being, a god form or something similar.

Since we have the Hindu and Buddhist ideal or "being reincarnated into the god realm"

or the Ancient Egyptian idea of "becoming a Shining One" or the Shinto idea of 'becoming Kami" I will have to say there is DEFS a chance of this happening to some people...some special people...some...really awesome people...
