Afterpants: Undemons #3 Charontes

So today's Undemons are the "Charontes", a group of demons from the Etruscan underworld. What I found interesting in the book by Theresa Bain,,"Encyclopedia of Demons in World Religion" (which, btw, reads like the many Routledge dictionaries on similar topics) is her description of Charon (who is obviously a precursor to Charon of Greek fame) but he AND his Charontes are described as having blue skin, wielding hammers, pointy ears and tusks (there are wings involved but I'm not really interested in those) because that description fits the Orcs (especially in World of Warcraft) to a tee.

Anyway, the Charontes are dwellers of the underworld and followers of Charon.
