Afterpants: Undemons (Srin Po)

Today's Undemons are a classic case of the demonization of a previous 'pagan' faith by a dominant paradigm; in this case, Buddhism.

The "Sri" aka "Srin Mo". "Shin Po", or "sinmo" hail from the Tibetan underworld.

They are said to eat human flesh, possess human beings and drain blood.

Here's something important (at least in Buddhism; they perform various tantric practices

such as Yab-yum and (sorry couldn't find the Tibetan word} "Liberation"

Both of these are considered "lesser paths" but still retain merit within a Buddhist context. Yab-yum, of course, is the idea that one can transform the sexual act into a kundalini enlightenment, "Liberation" is the idea that in taking someone's life....you have freed them to move on to their next incarnation.

They (of course) wear tiger skins and are ferocious!
