Afterpants: Afterlives (Afterlife Anti-chamber)

Afterlife anti-chamber: It's a place where the not-quite too dead go.

The most famous of which has GOT to be Kings Cross station in Harry Potter.

This is where people go before they "move on" to the real deal and, if you like stories where the Underworld is part, then you should love the Anti-chamber.

Why?

Because with the Anti-chamber the characters realize they are dead and some face

a choice as to whether or not they would like to come back.

As mentioned on the trope page...the Egyptian mythos weighs in heavily on this one.

I like the idea of the anti-chamber. Multiple religions support the idea.

I'm gonna go with "Probably true" (depending on the individual)
